I'M BACK FROM PAHANG! i must say that it's the best yet the worst camp ever. haha:) 21may- set off to pahang from school. we set off at 0900hrs? reach campsite at pasir sir at around 1930hrs imagine the long bus rides. played, laughed, slept, eat on the bus. reached campsite. eeew.. hate it. so many insect THAT big. imagine eating among those things. and it's super dark. shared tent on the first night with nina, connie and joanne. we don't like sleeping on sand if only it was soft sand.*sobs* next morning 22may- set off from pasir sir to cycle the 52km(or should i say 58km) route. almost died halfway through. the paddle came off. damn funny. literally uphill and downhill. killer la.. damn tiring.headache halfway, pak siong's leg cramp halfway. both of us got up the ambulance in the end. surprisingly saw zijian in the ambulance also.. haha. i thought he would chiong with ming yang all the way. reach our destination and waited for the rest of the cyclist. took 2hrs+++ bus ride from our destination and headed towards jeran besu. jeran besu is the best place la. the campsite is so clean and nice and cooling and they had proper toilets. gao ning and i concluded that it's the heaven in hell toilet. shared tent with connie and liye. best night. 23 may- did water confidence and white water rafting in the morning. water rafting was damn fun. love it la. water confidance kind of scare me off.. hello. i don't know how to swim can. and i'm super afraid of water. i kept screaming and screaming even though the guide already toldme do not panic and do not scream. water rafting's my new love. flying fox and river crossing ater lunch. flyingfox was damn fun. my legs turn soft upon reaching the platform. and when the guide told me to jump, i was like "huh? liddat ah?" it's like telling you go jump off the building and die. but it was damn fun. river crossing almost drowned me.. the current was strong. the waves keep splashing into my face which makes it even harder for someone who dosn't know how to swim to breathe. the guides and both ends were telling me to let go. but i couldn't hear them until i saw one of the guides pointing at the life boat. then i let go. my back hurt so much it feels like i'm being paralyse waist down. got the shock of my life. and i cried. bathed at the heaven in hell toilet. pack up at headed to taman negara. bus ride took 3hrs+++ crapped and gossip with zijian, alyani and marcus. taman negara is the worst place. shared tents with connie and cheryl(3n) the tents has creepy crawlies crawling all over. disgusted spend half the time getting rid of all of them. slept in the end. 24may- set off for trekking the canopy walk was damn fun. but trekking up was super tiring. after trekking headed back to campsite packup and headed to this plantation place for reunion dinner. i dont like the busride. cycle 3 always get the best bus but thta say, we got the lousiet bus. the chairs are spoiled, the air con is spoiled the bus is jerky and noisy. disgusted. rangers reached the resort first then the explorers then the hunters. met cheryl, hanlyn, sihui and huilian missed them so much. shared all our experiences. returned to playing dai ti. heh heh... boarded the bus to pahang railway station. trained back to singapore. throughtout this camp we all sweared- i promised not to take anything in singapore for granted. i promise. during the camp we were like: NO!!! I WANT GO HOME! i want my bed! after the camp we were like: i miss pahang. can we return here again? the guides are damn nice. sulaiman went see us off at the railways station that night. i'm gonna miss him. i'll never forget the 3 songs he taught us. i'll never forget the funny funny corny corny guides who accompanied us from pasir sir to jeran besu to taman negara to that plantation resort and to the railway station accompanied us till 2.30am to see us of at the railway station. never will forget pahang camp 2007. iamresilience2007.blogspot.com |
